Like it or Not

There is a magic option on Facebook. Previously it used to be a button with a Thumbs-Up symbol, later it was replaced with an option. Traditionally I used to like things that really impress me. Since I started using Fakebook … oh sorry I mean Facebook I discovered new meanings of the word. Usually when I see something that is really interesting or makes me laugh I ‘Liked’ it. Soon I was surprised to see when one of the friends updated his status ‘Caught Fever’ and 25 people ‘Liked’ it.

Whattt . . !

How can people be so ‘mean’ that your friend is suffering and you like it.

A careful observation of Facebook introduced me to the new meanings of the word. Let me share with you.

When you update your status or post a picture some people like it as they really like it in true sense of the word. Other like it and comment over it, that is okay, may be they have a different view or may be they want to appreciate it. Sometimes people like your comments and then comment on the same post. They want you to read their comments and reciprocate.

A friend’s like indicates that s/he is in touch with you and is updated with your whereabouts. However, A third party's 'Like' (multiplied by two at least) at your comments on your friends wall is a sure prediction that very soon you will receive a friendship request ;)

When one of your family members likes it, it means they keep an eye on your activities. Therefore, smart people always have two profiles, one for family and one for friends B)

A like from your girl/boyfriend or fiancé is a signal that s/he is tracking down your activities especially when your better-half likes your comment on your (opposite gendered) friend’s wall ;) However, your ex’s likes on your comments on someone else’ wall is a sign that s/he still misses you and at the same time is interested to know which ChuRail you are interested in now L

Some of your friends like your wall posts and expect you will do the same on their walls. Some friends never like any of your posts. They just want to show that they are not so ordinary. In fact they are self centered people who could not think beyond themselves. Some keep liking your posts, it does not matter you ever liked theirs or not, they are the real Gems among the lot. Value them.

Whatever is the case, we always sign in to Facebook in expectation of at least one red digit in the upper left corner ..!!
